Making Your Own Finials

Making a special finial is another way to individualize a lamp & shade. It will surprise you 
how much the perfect finial will add. 

The things needed to make finials are threefold;  Hardware, found objects, and basic
tools and supplies. 

Shop for the hardware below.  Appropriate found objects can be made of glass, plastic,
metal, resin, ceramic, china, wood , femo, plaster,  etc.

The basic tools and supplies may  include hacksaw, small file, drill, 1/4-27 tap for 
threading, reamer,  bench vise, small paint brushes,  small hammer, epoxy, super glue,
wood putty, acrylic paint, clear varnish.
